Where is Maine Adult Education Association located?

MAEA’s Executive Director, Shirley Wright, works from her home office in Dover-Foxcroft, ME.

Howe, Cahill and Company, the firm that has represented MAEA for over 25 years in dealings with state government is located at 11 Columbia St. in Augusta. Gwen Bedell Gadbois, MAEA’s bookkeeper, is located in Sanford.

How do I join MAEA?

Memberships include institutional memberships for adult education programs and partner agencies. Individual memberships are available for retirees, students, and individuals not affiliated with adult education programs or partner agencies. The membership year runs from July 1-June 30.  Benefits include discounts on professional development events, eligibility for scholarship and awards nominations, regular communication from MAEA, and the opportunity to be part of supporting adult education in Maine.  Those desiring to join MAEA may e-mail info@maineadulted.org.

When is the next annual conference?

The 2020 Annual Conference will held at Thomas College in Waterville on June 17 and 18, 2020.  Conference Chair is Allen Lampert, Director of Merrymeeting Adult Education in Topsham.  For more information, visit maineadulted.org and click on the Conference tab at the top of the page.
